‘Thinking for Quality Learning’ (TQL)

A school improvement Accreditation Framework

Five step process

1.  School applies for TQL accreditation and completes initial application.

2.  The TQL Team carry out a 2-day Audit with Senior Leaders using the 5 Framework strands (as above) with descriptors in each strand that have a RAYG rating for evidence (Red, Amber, Yellow, Green = (Just Starting, 1, 2 or 3).

3.  TQL Team provide audit outcomes with feedback on each strand, and an overall Grade – Insufficient, Needs Work, Good, Excellent

4.  If school has Insufficient or Needs Work, they are provided with a timeline of activities and evidence they need in order to become Good or Excellent.

5.  A final 1-day accreditation visit takes place, and the school is awarded the TQL for 2 years. Every 2 years the school has an an accreditation visit in order to keep their status.
